USFULL recently accomplished an innovative irrigation project in the city of Mexico,  to help farmers have an adequate water supply for their crops in sunny and bright weather conditions. This hilltop irrigation project is an innovative initiative that uses state-of-the-art Cajas de conexiones fotovoltaicas and solar pump inverters to harness solar energy and provide a sustainable irrigation solution for local farmers. Challenges in Mexico’s Electricity Landscape

Like many countries, Mexico grapples with challenges in its electricity infrastructure, especially in remote agricultural areas. Unreliable power supply and high electricity costs often hinder the development of essential facilities such as irrigation systems. In light of these challenges, USFULL recognized the need for a sustainable and cost-effective solution that would empower farmers in Mexico to overcome the limitations imposed by traditional power sources.

USFULL’s Project Details

USFULL, a leading name in renewable energy solutions, conceived the hilltop irrigation project to address the specific needs of farmers in Mexico. The core of this visionary endeavor lies in the utilization of solar power, tapping into the abundant sunlight that graces the region. The project integrates cutting-edge technology, featuring a 46kW solar panel array consisting of 84pcs high-efficiency 550W solar panels organized in 6 strings of 14pcs panels each. At the heart of this solar-powered irrigation system is la caja del combinador fotovoltaico – a critical component that ensures the seamless and efficient operation of the solar panel array. USFULL implemented a robust 6 string 1000V IP65 PV combiner box, designed to withstand the diverse climatic conditions of Mexico. This innovative box houses essential elements such as a 4P 100A 1000V DC MCCB, a 1P 20A 1000V DC fuse, a 3P 1000V DC SPD, and an anti-reverse diode.

The 4P 100A 1000V DC MCCB serves as a protective switch, allowing for easy maintenance and preventing overloads. Complementing this, the 1P 20A 1000V DC fuse provides additional protection, ensuring the safety and longevity of the system. The 3P 1000V DC SPD (Surge Protection Device) guards against voltage surges, a common concern in areas with fluctuating power grids. The anti-reverse diode prevents the backflow of electricity, optimizing the overall efficiency of the solar panel array.

USFULL also used  37kW/40HP 380V solar pump inverter.The water pump connected to the inverter is 30kW submersible pump.
